Welcome to my new website! It’s been rebuilt to be faster, more responsive, and more secure.

The Works page is still the mainstay of the site, where you can read about my published works and find Amazon purchase links.

My old Wordpress site finally got hacked. I was able to clean it up and recover it, but that was the incentive to finally move away from Wordpress. This new site is a static site generated using Hugo. There’s no server-side execution environment (PHP, Ruby, CGI, etc.) and no database, so there’s not really anything that can get hacked. Static content is also way faster compared to the old PHP/MariaDB environment running on a cheap shared host.

TJ Mott was born in Norfolk, Nebraska, but was raised on a small cattle farm near the booming metropolis of Westboro, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University. By day he works as a software engineer in Omaha, Nebraska. By night he writes fiction, which he’s wanted to do ever since he learned how to read.

Most of his current and planned works are science fiction, but he has a huge backlog of ideas including some dark fantasy. He is self-published through Amazon’s Kindle Desktop Publishing (KDP) program, and his works are available in ebook (Kindle) format as well as paperbacks.
